  2. Factor in Cost Over Time: While synthetic grass may seem like a steep initial investment, it ultimately saves you a lot of money. Consider the long-term savings in maintenance, water, and fertiliser.

  3. Select a UV Resistant Option: Given New Zealand's sunny weather, UV resistance is a must. This will keep the turf from fading too quickly under the harsh summer sun.

  4. Look for Drainage Features: Water drainage is another essential component, especially during heavy rainstorms. Ensure the turf you're considering has good drainage properties.


Switching to synthetic turf has been a game-changer for me. It’s one less thing to worry about, and I can now confidently host BBQs on a perfectly manicured lawn.
